Dr. Dan Robertson, veterinary surgeon in a Cavalry regiment on the Mexican 
border is at home on a fifteen-day furlough with his father’s family. He 
has joined the regular service and will be promoted to a higher rank and 
salary in the near future. As inspector and treatment of cavalry stock he 
now ranks as second lieutenant in the cavalry.

Iota and vicinity has several representatives in the navy, cavalry, and 
national guard now.
