All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ POLICE JURY PROCEEDINGS Crowley Signal March 16, 1922 The petition of Dominic Ledoux and others of the Third ward, asking that a public road be created beginning and intersecting a public road running from Church Point to Eunice; (The road mentioned here is probably the one that begins at the intersection of Blacksmith Rd. and LA 95 heading north to Prudhomme community) Thence running due west for a distance of one and one-half miles along the property of Messrs. Edward Daigle, Dominic Ledoux, Abraham Daigle, Francois Ledoux, Felix J. Leger, Gustave Leger and T.T. Attebury, intersecting the Church Point-Light and Tie road, was granted on condition that the property owners along the said proposed road donate the necessary amount of land required for the said road. (The mile and one-road is probably Brittnay Hwy beginning at the intersection of Blacksmith Rd and La 95 north and running due west to Charlene Hwy)
