W. Lotz, and to report at next meeting. The following committee was appointed to lay out a public road from Union bridge on Bayou Nez Pique to the new Fournerat bridge on Bayou des Cannes, to wit: Hypolite Langley, Charles Shamber, Jas. P. Bult, David Young, L.F. Shamber, Polom Guillory and John LeBlanc. Report of the committee on Richard bridge on Bayou Que de Tortue was duly accepted and the sum of $150 is hereby credited to Eloi Comeaux contractor. ROAD OVERSEERS First Ward 1. Francois, from Latta’s SW corner to Prud’homme, in place of Theogene Richard. On motion of W.W. Duson, duly seconded and carried, that part of the meridian line public road from toby’s SW corner to Jake White’s bridge, was duly declared abandoned as a public road. The following donations of rights of way for public roads were duly accepted and ordered recorded, to wit: Adam Istre, et als., G.C. and R. Hinshaw, Mrs. Addison Meaux, Alcee Henry, et als., Francois Breaux. The following resolution was offered by Cesaire Breaux and was duly seconded and carried: Be it ordained by the Police Jury of Acadia Parish, in regular session convened, that Hebrard Arceneaux be and he is authorized to change the public road leading from Rayne to parish line between Acadia and Lafayette parish so as to run on the south and east side of the NW ¼ of SW ¼ of section 9 of township nine south, range thee east, instead of on the west and north side of said NW ¼ of of said section. Provided said Hebrard Arceneaux give the right of way and make said change at his own cost; and a copy of this ordinance recorded shall be recognized as a donation from said Hebrard Arceneaux .
