The unfortunate young woman’s health was impaired to some extent in her childhood, making her somewhat irresponsible. Sunday she was standing in a room in which there was a fire and it is thought that her skirts came into contact with the flames. Her cries of anguish attracted other members of the family, who found her writhing in her burning clothing. The flames were promptly extinguished, and the physician who was hastily summoned did what he could to alleviate her intense suffering. It is hoped the deplorable accident will not terminate fatally.
