DEATH OF MR. THEODULE DAIGLE
The Church Point Democrat November 23, 1907
The sad death of Mr. Theodule Daigle casts a gloom upon the entire 
community.
Mr. Daigle was one of Church Point’s first settlers and during his days he was 
foremost in any move towards the welfare of the community. It was his aim to 
spread morals and he lived up to this standard until death.
He answered unto the call of death as bravely as he answered to the call 
which commanded him to the battle field, where he with a legion of others, 
held his musket in defense of the Stars and Stripes
Mr. Daigle had reached the age of 83 years, 1 month and 20 days, and in spite 
of his advance age, moved about with all ease.
Deceased leaves 10 children and 208 grand and great grandchildren, as well 
as a number of friends to mourn his death.
His remains were entered in the Catholic cemetery here after the ceremony of 
a Requiem Mass most impressive delivered by the Rev. Father A.P. Rogers 
and Rev. Father Roch of Grand Coteau.
The Guidry’s Concert Band, in low sweet tones of funeral march, together with 
a large crowd, followed the remains to the grave.
The Democrat extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
