Mrs. Clemille Credeur Is Buried Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Clemille Credeur, 74, who passed away here 
Wednesday, February 6, at 2:30 a.m. were held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock 
from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with interment in the adjacent 
Catholic cemetery.

Lifelong resident of this community, Mrs. Credeur was head of a large 
family, and she leaves ten children, sixty-two grandchildren and 
22 great grandchildren to mourn her passing.

Devoted mother, she worked untiringly throughout her life time to rear 
her large family and her death brings to a close faithful and long years 
of love and care for members of her family.  Unselfish devotion and 
sacrifice characterized her life, and she was dearly loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by three sons; Clemille Credeur, Jr. Vinton; Clarville 
Credeur, Port Barre, and August Credeur, Rayne; and seven daughters; 
Mrs. Beauregard Clement, Mrs. Fesley Arceneaux, Mrs. Leodis Credeur, 
Mrs. Alcia Broussard, Mrs. Isaac Fontenot and Mrs. Clesmay Navarre, all 
of Rayne; Mrs. Sidney Breaux, Crowley.  In addition, she is survived by 
62 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne directed arrangements.
