17 –Year Old Grandson of Locals, Dies

Ronald Lavergne, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Lavergne of Prairie 
Ronde and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Andrus Thibodeaux of Church Point 
died Friday, March 22, at 4:45 a.m. at his home.  He had been an 
invalid several years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 23, at the Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Prairie Ronde.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Roy of Ville Platte, 
Kenneth and Glenn both of Prairie Ronde; one sister, Delores Ann of 
Prarie Ronde; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Noah Lavergne and his 
maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrus Thibodeaux.
