Louis Richard Funeral Services Held In Rayne

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church 
in Rayne for Louis Richard, age 72, who died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday at the 
Rayne-Branch hospital following a heart attack.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Richard, a lifetime resident of Rayne, was born October 22, 1890.  He 
was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his widow, the former Ada Simon; six daughters, Mrs. Adam Simon 
and Mrs. Odey Lormand, both of Rayne; Mrs. Remi Simon and Mrs. Curley Louvierre, 
both of Crowley; Mrs. Leo Patin, Lafayette and Mrs. Claude Richard, Alvin, Texas; 
one brother, Frank Richard; two sisters, Mrs. Lastie Simon and Mrs. Weston Arceneaux, 
both of Rayne; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren..

The Gossen Funeral home of Rayne is in charge of arrangements.
