Tobin Sonnier Last Rites Held At St. Joseph

 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Tobin Sonnier, aged 71, who died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Morgan Nursing home in Crowley.

 

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

 

Mr. Sonnier was born in Acadia Parish on March 13, 1892.  He was a retired school bus driver.

 

Survivors include his widow, the former Electa Lavergne, Rayne; one son, Powell Sonnier, Rayne; and two daughters, Mrs. Willis Boudreaux, Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Russell Benoit, Rayne.

 

The Gossen Funeral home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.
