Alexon Thibodeaux Rites Held Here

Alexon Thibodeaux, a well known farmer of this Rayne section, died at 
a local hospital at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, following a lingering 
illness, and a critical condition of a few days preceding his death.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. from St. Joseph Church 
with Very Rev. Monsignor Hubert Lerschen officiating.

Pallbearers included Herbert Harrison and L.J. Hanks, Bert and Armond Thibodeaux, 
and Oran Guidry.  The Gossen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 12, 1860, Mr. Thibodeaux was a native of Lafayette Parish but 
resided close to Rayne throughout his entire lifetime.  He was married to 
the former Alita Viator, who with other relatives, survives him.
