Betty Jean (Walker) Tweedel 
(July 25, 1941 - December 12, 2009) 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 14, 2009 in the 
Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Betty Jean Tweedel, 68, who passed away on 
December 12, 2009 at her residence. 
Graveside services will take place at 1:00 pm in Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou 
Chicot, LA. 

Mrs. Tweedel, a resident of Eunice, LA, was the daughter of the late Robert 
Roy Walker of Bayou Chicot, LA and the former Laura Carpenter of Bayou Chicot, 
LA. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. 

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Lionel Tweedel of Eunice, LA; 
three daughters, Jamie Crawford of Lafayette, Kim Trahan and her husband 
Shannon of Breaux Bridge and Courtney Artigue and her husband Kevin of 
Youngsville, LA; One Son, Robert Richard and his wife Tina of Broussard, 
LA;one step-daughter, Helen Lantier; Ten grandchildren, Rob and Jake Richard, 
Dustin and Karlie Coker, Myles, Cayden and Noah Trahan, Bryce and Owen 
Artigue; one great-grandson, Coy Richard; two step-grandchildren, Jada and 
Karlie Lantier; six sisters, Jackie Foreman, Carole Walker, Jane Bergeron, 
Judy Morse, Brenda Vincent and Sandy Walker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday from 1:00 pm 
until 10:00 pm and will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of 
services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday at Delhomme Funeral Home 
of Lafayette. 

Pallbearers will be Kevin Artigue, Rob Richard, Jake Richard, Shannon Trahan, 
Kenneth Bergeron, Dale Vincent Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry 
Carpenter.
