Funeral services were held yesterday at 4 p.m. in the Church of the 
Assumption in Bosco for Jack Venable, aged 46, retired farmer, who 
died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in his Bosco residence.

Mr. Venable was born January 1, 1917, in St. Landry Parish.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his widow,, the former Lula Meche, Bosco; four sons, 
J.T. Venable, Earl Venable and Felton Venable, all of Bosco and Duplecie 
of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Ray McBride, Lafayette; four 
brothers, Pouile Venable, Bosco, Jerome and Emile Venable, Opelousas and 
Eddie Venable, Bristol; and one sister, Mrs. Ernest Savoy, Lawtell.

The Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.
