We turned off La 112 and went in a northerly direction. It could be in Beauregard Parish or Vernon. It is rather difficult to say. If it is in Allen, it is in the north-western corner. UNNAMED CEMETERY n\e of Sugartown We're calling it "Akins Cemetery" This cemetery is not alphabatized due to size and other considerations which you will recognize right away. At this time there is one old timey picket fence gravesite with a tin roof. The remains of another are still in evidence. There is evidence of someone having dug with a shovel into 2 of the graves. This was a sad thing to witness. One of the roofed gravesites has been recently painted with white paint. One grave is marked with a picket. Three graves are marked with rich lighter "stobs". There probably are more graves whose markers have rotted away.
