Old Young Cemetery  
Located behind Smith's Grocery off Hwy 26 at Mittie. No road to the site. 
There are only two marked graves in the cemetery at this time. There once 
was many graves. They were marked by wooden markers and many had little 
houses built over them.  There was a wooden picket fence around the entire 
grave yard.  It was partially destroyed by wildfire then again what ever 
remained was destroyed of the flood of 1952. The two graves that remain are:  
Julian Young Born 1802 Died 1894          
Louvinia Young Wife of Andrew Young 
(Note: This was originally reported as Audrey Young but was in error) 
Born May 1840 Died Oct 1881 She Died As She Lived Trusting in God  
Louvinia Young was a daughter of Julian Young. 
The cemetery is said to have been located 200 yards from the Old Julian 
Young Home Place.
