No. 492 Bk. 135 Affidavit of Dew Buxton  
State of Louisiana, Parish of Calcasieu. 

Personally came and appeared before me Wm. R. Hargrove, the
undersigned Notary Public, in and for said Parish and State, duly 
comissioned and qualified, Dew Buxton, a resident of Allen Parish, 
Louisiana, who being duly sworn deposed and said, that he was well 
acquainted with Valentine B Buxton. who on the May, 10th, 1892, sold to 
J.B.Watkins the South West Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Sec. 10
Township 3, South, Range Three, West, Louisiana Meridian, by deed 
recorded in Book Z of Conveyances on Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, Page 
142; that the said Valentine B Buxton died on or about the ...day 
of...A.D. 1907; that at the time of the edecution of said deed on May 
10th, 1892 the martial status of the said Valentine B Buxton was
as follows: He, Valentine B Buxton was married to his first wife Sophie 
Strother, with whoom he was at that time living; his said wife Sophie 
Strother died in the later part of same year i.e. Sept or Oct, 1892.
