All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Allen Parish Louisiana Archives News Logger is Crushed February 6, 1926 Times-Picayune February 6, 1926 Oakdale, La., Feb 9 - Crushed beneath a falling limb, Douglas Sawyer Ware, a member of the logging crew of Hillyer-Deutsch- Edwards Lumber Company, was instantly killed early Saturday. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. D.A. Gregery, pastor of the West Oakdale Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the Walter Cloud Cemetery near here. The deceased is survived by a widow and four small children. Additional Comments: Wife was Nettie Willis Ware and children were Dennis James Ware, Thelma Ware, Nelva Ware and Raymond Curtis Ware.
