OAKDALE (Spl.) - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ballard, 73, of Oakdale
were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mount Hope Baptist church in
Ballard community. Rev. Harold Dunn was in charge of services. Burial
was in the Cryer cemetery under direction of Ardoin funeral home. Mrs.
Ballard died Friday at 8:15 a.m. at Hargrove clinic. She was a native
of Acadia parish. Survivors include her husband, Seburn, two stepsons,
Timothy and Murphy, all of Oakdale; four stepdaughters, Mrs. J. R.
Maddox of Elizabeth, Mrs. John Bond, Miss Lottie Ballard and Miss Mary
Ballard, all of Oakdale; one brother, Willis Richard of Acadia Parish;
two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Clayton of Glenmora, and Mrs. Edna Armstead
of Beaumont; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. - Ron Manley
