 Chatham - Funeral services for Silas B. Buxton, 88, of Chatham, will be held at 3
pm today in Chatham United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Robert Franks
officiating.
 Burial will be in Chatham cemetery under the direction of Sothern Funeral Home of
Jonesboro.
 Mr. Buxton died Thursday night in St. Francis Hospital in Monroe after a lenghty
illness.
 Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Everett Kyle of Monroe; three sons, T.L.
Buxton of Chatham, Lonnie Buxton of Columbus, Miss and John T. Buxton of Zachary; a
half-brother, Tom Johnson of Alexandria; 17 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
