Michael McIntosh officiating. Committal services followed in the Cryer Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Humpy, 90, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 09, 2008, in his residence. He was born January 14, 1918, in Bayou Chicot. He was a Baptist by faith, dispatcher for the Allen Parish Police Jury, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. One of Humpy's pleasures in the 1960's was to furnish the fish for the fundraisers for the Oakdale High School Marching Warrior Band. Hardy is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ella Greer, and by his siblings, Howard Greer, Oma Clark, Gilbert Greer and Earl Greer. He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his wife, Gladys Buxton Greer of Oakdale; two daughters, Judith Greer of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and Linda Greer Wendle of Mandeville, La; one grandson, Robert Earl Hogan and two great-grandchildren, Kiri Hogan and Daemon Hogan.
