The Town Talk 02-07-1969
 Oakdale (Spl) - Funeral services for Alex Davis Greer, 89, will be held at 10:30 am
in St. Matthew's Baptist Church. The Rev. Grover Willis and the Rev. Kenneth
Crumbley will officiate. Burial will be in Cryer Cemetery with Ardoin's Funeral Home
in Oakdale in charge.
 He died at 12:30 am Thursday in Oakale General Hospital.
 Survivors are his wife; four sons, Earl and Hardy Greer of Oakdale, Howard Greer of
Lake Charles, and Gilbert Greer of Port Neches, Tex; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Clark
of Orange; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren,and one great-great-grandchild.

Additional Comments:
Alex Greer's wife was Ella (Ellar) Burgins Greer. Their daughter was Oma O. Greer
Clark.
Their daughter-in-laws: Earl D. Greer married Ruby Porteau, R. Hardy Greer married
Gladys Buxton, A. Howard Greer married Madelyn Willis, and O. Gilbert Greer married
Zola Young.
