Monroe Buxton

Oakdale - Funeral services for Monroe Buxton, 79, of Oakdale will be
at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Oakdale Baptist Church.

The Rev. Clarence Dees will officiate. Burial will be in the church
cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Buxton died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday in the Oakdale Infirmary.

He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Roy D. Buxton of Baton Rouge and Valentine
Buxton of Oakdale; one daughter, Mrs. Elyven Spencer of Clarksdale, Ind.;
one brother, Silas Buxton of Chatman, LA., one sister, Mrs. Hattie Bonds
of Glenmora; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
