OMA D JOHNSON Oakdale - Funeral services for Mrs. Oma D. Johnson, 85, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, in Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, April 17, and from 8 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson died at 2:15 a.m. in an Oberlin nursing home. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Thyra Johnson of Guthrie, Okla.; two brothers, Monroe and Eli Durant, both of Oakdale, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lake Washington American Press, 4/20/1984, p 2 MRS. ALLIE J DURANT Oakdale - Funeral services for Mrs. Allie J Durant, 77, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 20, in Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Butch Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs. Durant died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in Humana Hospital. Survivors include two sons, James David and John Durant Jr. , both of Oakdale, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. JOHN DURANT JR. Oakdale - Funeral services for John Durant Jr., 61, will be at 10 a.m. today, June 23, in Ardoin Funeral Home. The Revs. William Sigler and Grover Hargrove will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home until time of services. Mr. Durant died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Oakdale hospital. A retired welder, he was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Durant; four sons, Bill Durant, Johnny Durant and Elmo McGray, all of Oakdale, and Adam Durant of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette McDaniel of Pitkin and Mrs. Peggy Baham of Oakdale; one brother James Durant of Oakdale and 12 grandchildren. JAMES DURANT Oakdale - Funeral services for James "Jimmy" D. Durant, 58, of Oakdale, will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 20, in Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery under direction of Rush Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home. Mr. Durant died Tuesday morning in the Oakdale hospital. He is survived by three nephews and two nieces. MRS. LOIS FONTENOT Oakdale - Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Fontenot, 75, were at 4 p.m. today, Sept 12, in Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. T.C. Bonnett and Payton Bass officiated. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs. Fontenot died at 7 a.m. Thursday in an Oakdale nursing home. Survivors are one son, Edward Martin, of DeRidder; two stepsons, Faye Fontenot and Jesse Fontenot, both of Oakdale; two daughters, Mrs. B.L. Ritchie of New Caney, Tex., and Mrs Eunice Lachney of New Orleans; two brothers, Monroe and Eli Durand both of Oakdale. Also three half-brothers, James and Archie Durand, both of Elizabeth and Joe O. Rockwell of Florence, S.C.; and one sister, Mrs. Oma D Johnson of Oakdale; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. MONROE G.. DURANT Oakdale - Funeral services for Monroe G. Durant, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in Ardoin Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Wallace will officiate. burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Durant died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the Oakdale hospital. A retired auto mechanic, he was a peacetime veteran of the Navy and a member of Trinity Baptist Church and VFW Post 3687. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Caroline H. Durrant; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine June Bryant of Ashland, Miss., and Mrs. Gloria Ann Rodriguez of Pitkin; one brother, Eli Durrant of Oakdale, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. ELI DURANT Oakdale - Funeral services for Eli Durant, 91, will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan 2, in first United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Cryer Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home. Mr. Durant died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000 in the Oakdale hospital.
