He was a lifelong resident of Ragley and was active in the Reeves Rodeo. He retired from PPG of Lake Charles after 30 years of service. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Georgie Reeves of Ragley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Arthur Reeves Jr. of Lake Charles and Larry and Patsy Reeves of DeQuincy; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Shirvey Hebert of DeRidder; two brothers, Henry Elbert Reeves of Olive Branch, Miss., and Charles Thomas Reeves of Pitkin; six sisters, Azalie Rollins of Blue Ridge, Ga., Alzina Fontenot of Lake Charles, Anna Lou Miller of Bel, Ollie Belle Wilson of Ragley, Etta Marie Dunn of Moss Bluff and Martha Reeves of Ragley; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, March 3, in Rush Funeral Home of Kinder. The Rev. Charles Harlon will officiate. Burial will be in Creel Memorial Gardens in Reeves.
