Williams MITTIE — Tina Gibson Williams, 36, died at 11:47 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, in the Oakdale hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Mittie. She graduated from Fairview High School and attended McNeese State University for two years. She was a member of Mittie United Pentecostal Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir, and she served on the youth committee and women's ministries. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Williams of Mittie; two sons, Samuel Cole Williams and Nicholas Reid Williams, both of Mittie; one brother, Brian Gibson of Berea, Ky.; two sisters, Kimberly Townson of Grant and Lana Carroll of Oak Grove; her parents, Corbett and Dianne Gibson, both of Mittie; her paternal grandfather, Franklin Gibson of Oberlin; her maternal grandmother, Bessie Young of Mittie; two nephews, Ethan Gibson of Berea and Travis Townson of Grant; and two nieces, Lauren Gibson of Berea and Taylor Townson of Grant. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, in Mittie United Pentecostal Church. The Revs. J.R. Dowden and Wesley Lester will officiate. Burial will be in New Camp Ground Cemetery in Sugartown under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale. Visitation is from 3 p.m. Thursday in the church.
