For this purpose he went to St. Landry parish, but at the end of two months he was compelled to abandon this project on account of ill health. In 1889 he re-entered the commercial world. He has a complete stock of dry goods and groceries at Dixie Landing, Cofield P. 0., and is carrying on a thriving trade. He is the postmaster, the office being in his store.
