Saxon, of Burnside, has purchased from the Metropolitan Bank of New Orleans the Belle Helene plantation in the sixth ward of Ascension parish, on the east bank of the river. The place comprises approximately 2000 acres of land, and is regarded as one of the most productive and desirable sugar and rice tracts in this section. Definite knowledge as to what disposition Mr. Saxon will make of the property is not obtainable at this time, but it is probable there will be developments to report within the next few weeks.
