Donaldsonville Chieff: There is considerable bilious fever prevailing on the left 
bank of the river, and among the numerous sufferers from the disease are Messrs. 
W.E. Bateman of Riverton plantation, Powell Beckner of Conway, and James Armitage 
of Houma Store. We wish them all an early recovery.
