The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maurin was christened at the Catholic 
church in Bayou Goula last Sunday, and the name of Doris May was bestowed upon the 
little miss. The sponsors were Miss Maud Maurin of this city and Lawrence Hebert, 
aunt and uncle respectively of the child. Mr. Maurin is the efficient manager of 
Nottaway plantation and is a son of Mrs. Edward Maurin of this city.
