Dr. I.D. Benson, who recently purchased from R.E. Noel the McManor plantation 
situated in the first ward, has sold his magnificent residence property in 
Jackson, Miss., and will remove with his family to this parish in the early future 
and make his home here. The Chief takes pleasure in extending a hearty welcome to 
Dr. Benson and his family to the parish of Ascension.
