Meeting of Veterans. - A regular monthly meeting of Major Victor Maurin Camp No. 
38, U.C.V., was held in the rooms of the Mohawk Club Sunday forenoon. In the 
absence of Capt. S.A. Poche, Adjutant Wm. J. Murphy called the assemblage to order 
and requested Dominique Gentil to preside. A.F. LeBlanc was elected printer of the 
camp. The meeting adjourned out of respect to the memory of Dr. J.L. Richard, 
surgeon of the camp, who died Saturday forenoon and was laid to rest in the 
Catholic cemetery at 3 o'clock p.m. Sunday.
