Three murder cases have been tried in our District Court this week, with the 
following result: Nannie Scott, drowning her baby in a well, acquitted; Geo. 
Watson, shooting his wife, Rhoda, convicted without capital punishment and 
sentenced to the penitentiary for life; Gustave Paul, stabbing his wife, convicted 
and sentenced to death.
