Isaac Murray, a negro, formerly a constable of the fifth ward justice court, was 
shot and killed last Saturday night in front of A.E. Truxillo's store in A Bend. 
Adrien Williams, also colored, with whose father the dead coon was involved in a 
dispute when murdered, is suspected of firing the fatal shot and was arrested and 
lodged in jail pending an investigation. The bullet which killed Murray was fired 
from a 38 - calibre (sic) revolver, striking the victim in the back of the right 
shoulder and emerging from the left breast just below the heart.
