(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 20, 1886, Page 4 1886 On the 16th of January Sheriff Bourgeois sold the St. Emma and St. Cecile plantations at public auction, pursuant to an order issued in the matter of the succession of the late Pierre Maspero. The first named place was adjudicated to Messrs. L.J. Bourgeois & Co. for $7500 and the latter to the citizens' Bank for $12,000. The undivided half of the Bourbon plantation, sold the same day to satisfy a judgment in the suit of Birney Fellows vs. P.L. Remy et al., was purchased by Mr. Fortune Jaubat for $10,000.
