(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871 - Current, November 09, 1918, Image 3 In the American army casualty list for Tuesday, published in last Wednesday's New Orleans newspapers, appears the name of S. J. LeBlanc of Donaldsonville, who is reported seriously wounded. The soldier referred to is the son of N. B. LeBlanc, the well-known wheelwright and blacksmith of Port Barrow. He has been in the trenches about one year and has been in the thickest of the fight. The Chief sincerely hopes that Ascension's brave and gallant young soldier will recover from his wounds and will soon be able to return to the battle front in defense of his country.
