(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 14, 1920, Page 3 The St. Emma plantation, situated on Bayou Lafourche, about three miles below Donaldsonville, was sold at public auction at the courthouse by Sheriff Hanson today to effect a partition, and was adjudicated to C.C. Barton for $60,000. The plantation was bought for the hiers [sic] of the late E.H. Barton, with the exception of Mrs. Lavinia Martinez of New Orleans.
