Edward Rodriguez, one of the valued employees of the Donaldsonville ice factory, 
went to Lutcher Sunday afternoon to visit his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and 
Mrs. Emile Veron, returning Tuesday forenoon. Mr. Rodriguez recently achieved 
the distinction of  becoming a grandfather for the first time, the relationship 
being created by the birth of a bouncing boy to Mr. and Mrs. Veron. The 
youngster was christened at the Lutcher Catholic church last Sunday morning, the 
name of Edward Ernest Veron being conferred upon him, with L.P. Bourgeois, Jr., 
of Gramercy, and Miss Stella Cosse, of Lutcher, as sponsors. Congratulations and 
good wishes are extended to the little new-comer, the happy parents and the 
proud grandfather.
