(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, April 20, 1912, page 5 Death of LaCroix Alonzo. - LaCroix Alonzo, a native of Assumption parish, aged sixty-one years and seven months, died at 1:15 o'clock a.m. last Monday at the residence of his brother, Cleophas Alonzo, in Smoke Bend, where he had been making his home for the past year. The funeral took place Monday afternoon and was largely attended, many friends and relatives having gathered to pay a tribute of respect to the memory of the deceased by accompanying his remains to their last resting place. Services were held in St. Elizabeth's Catholic church at Paincourtville, and interment was made in the cemetery adjoining. Mr. Alonzo is survived by one son, Charles Alonzo, a prominent young citizen of upper Assumption; one daughter, Mrs. Whitmel Pugh, of Fluker, Tangipahoa parish, and two brothers, Cleophas Alonzo, of Smoke Bend, and Xavier Alonzo, of McCall.
