AYRAUD - On the Magnolia plantation, parish of Assumption, on Saturday, 
September 2, 1882, at 4 o'clock P.M., Mrs. Elodie Ayraud, nee Guedry, aged 23 
years.

It will be a source of profound regret to the many friends of J.H. Ayraud, 
residing in this parish, to read the announcement of the demise of his charming 
wife. Mrs. Ayraud's whole young life can be fitly expressed in one word - 
loveliness in every quality of heart, mind and gentle manner. A wife, mother and 
christian without reproach and blameless in every human and divine service. She 
leaves four young children, a devoted husband and fond parents to mourn her 
loss. The writer tenders his sincere and heartfelt condolence to brother Ayraud 
in his sad affliction.
