Ayraud, nee Lise Israel, a native and life-long resident of Donaldsonville, died at her home in Houmas street at 6 o'clock last evening after a lingering illness, aged 39 years. The funeral took place this afternoon at 4 o'clock, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery after impressive services at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mrs. Ayraud was noted for her kindly disposition and many lovable traits of character, and her untimely demise will be deeply deplored by an exceptionally wide circle of friends and acquaintances. She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters, Mrs. David Ker and Misses Olivia and Edna Ayraud; two little sons, John and Israel Ayraud; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Gingry and Miss Loulie Israel; one brother, Alderman D. Israel, Jr. and her mother, Mrs. C. Israel. To the bereaved family The Chief begs leave to tender assurances of sincere and profound sympathy.
