Death of Mrs. Arnaud Babin. - Mrs. Arnaud Babin, nee Jeanne Gentil, died at 7:15 
o'clock last Sunday morning after a long and hopeless illness, aged thirty-two 
years, eight months and nine days. The funeral took place Monday forenoon at 10 
o'clock and was attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and 
friends, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery after impressive services 
at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mrs. Babin is survived by her husband, Arnaud 
Babin, a well-known young business man of this town; her mother, Mrs. Dominique 
Gentil; two sisters, Mesdames Jos. Michel and Armand Babin, and two brothers, 
Theo. Gentil, of New Orleans, and Oscar Gentil, of Lake Charles. To these 
afflicted ones The Chief tenders assurances of sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
