Death of Mrs. Auguste Barthelemy. - Mrs. Auguste Barthelemy, nee Clara Melancon, 
a native of this city, aged 65 years, 6 months and 16 days, died at her home in 
Churchville last Sunday morning at 3:30 o'clock, and was buried Monday forenoon 
at 11 o'clock in the Catholic cemetery, after services at the Catholic church, 
conducted by Rev. Canon J.M.T. Massardier. Besides her husband, Auguste 
Barthelemy, now 86 years old and an invalid, deceased leaves to mourn her loss 
two brothers, E.D. Melancon of this city and Arthur J. Melancon of Evergreen 
plantation; two sisters, Estelle (Mrs. Frank Rodrigue, of New Orleans, and 
Hortense (Mrs. Templet) of California. The children are John Barthelemy, Mrs. 
Luke Erris of New Orleans, Mrs. Sidney Oubre of White Castle and Mrs. Rene 
Denoux of Gouldsboro, besides a number of nephews and nieces.
