Martholomaus (sic). - Mrs. Geo. Bartholomaus, a native of Germany and for many years a resident of Port Barrow, where she conducted a small grocery store, died at her home at 10:30 o'clock this forenoon after an illness of five months, aged 72 years, 6 months and 20 days. Grief over the death of her daughter, Louise, who passed away about a year ago, is believed to have hastened her death. Deceased had a kind and generous disposition and was very charitable. She was loved by all who knew her. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services will be held at the Episcopal church in this city. She is survived by one son, George Bartholomaus of New Orleans, and three daughters, Mrs. Dave Glaimer of New Orleans and Mrs. Geo. Chapman and Miss Emma Bartholomaus of this city. The Chief condoles with them in their sorrow.
