Bienvenue, nee Claire Larre, died at her home at Belle Rose, last Monday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock, after a short illness, aged 34 years and 5 months. The funeral took place Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, with services at the Catholic church at Paincourtville and interment in the the (sic) Catholic cemetery at that place, and was largely attended by sorrowing relatives and friends. Deceased was a daughter of Hugh Larre, who several years ago conducted a boarding house in this city, but who is now engaged in the grocery business in New Orleans. Her husband, D. D. Bienvenue is employed as engineer on the Lula plantation. She was a good wife, an affectionate mother and a devout christian. Her demise is very much regretted by all who knew her. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss six children, the oldest of whom is 14 years and the youngest 15 months. To them The Chief tenders deep sympathy in their great bereavement.
