(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, October 28, 1922, page 3 Death of Mrs. Thomas Bradford. - Mrs. Thomas Bradford, nee Octavie Gomez, died at her home in Smoke Bend last Thursday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock, after an illness of four months. Deceased was the wife of Captain Thomas Bradford, secretary of the Bradford Transportation Company of New Orleans. She was a kind and gentle-hearted woman and was loved by all who knew her. The funeral took place Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services were held at the St. Francis of Assissium Catholic church, Smoke Bend, after which the remains were brought to Donaldsonville and laid to rest in the family tomb in the Catholic cemetery. A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the last sad rites and followed the remains to the grave. Deceased is survived by her husband and three grown daughters, two of whom are married. The Chief proffers sympathy to them in their sorrow.
