Creamer marykcreamer.00@gmail.com April 27, 2023, 11:10 pm source: The Donaldsonville Chief. (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, December 10, 1904, page 4 Death of Joseph Bradford. - Joseph Bradford, a native and life-long resident of Ascension parish, died at his home in St. Patrick street at 10:45 o'clock Wednesday night after a long illness, aged 55 years. The funeral took place at 9 o'clock a.m. yesterday, with services at the Episcopal church and interment in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Bradford, familiarly known to his many friends as "Coon," conducted a store in this town for many years, and some eighteen months ago instituted a hack line, which he operated with much success. His health was seemingly excellent up to a couple of months ago, when it developed that he was suffering from an incurable disease. Despite the best of care and medical attention, he grew rapidly worse and at his own request was taken to New Orleans for treatment. He failed to improve, however, and was brought home Tuesday, after having been in the city for about two weeks. Mr. Bradford is survived by his wife, who was Miss Anaise Acosta; two children, Mrs. Augustin Montero and William Bradford, and two brothers, M.F. and Thomas Bradford. To them The Chief tenders assurances of deepest sympathy.
