[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 22, 1913, Image 5 Death of Widow Nemourin Braud. - After an illness of seven weeks with grippe, Widow Nemourin Braud, nee Carmelia Hebert, died at 11:10 o'clock Monday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. R. Landry, at Hohen Solms, aged eighty-seven years, nine months and nine days. Mrs. Braud was a native of Ascension parish, and was one of the oldest residents of the Hohen Solms neighborhood, where she resided throughout practically her entire life. She was known and loved by all, and her departure from this life is deeply and widely mourned. The funeral took place Tuesday, services being held at the St. Francis of Ascension Catholic church in Smoke Bend, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Donaldsonville Catholic cemetery. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the obsequies. Mrs. Braud is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Felix Rodriguez, Mrs. W. P. Rochelle and Mrs. A. R. Landry, all of Hohen Solms, besides fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The Chief tenders sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
