Brignac, of Lake, La. was called by death last Friday, December 28th after suffering from a long illness. Although the end was expected it was indeed a shock to the little community in which he resided. Deceased was a native of this parish and was 45 years old and 6 months at the time of his death. He was a man of exemplary conduct, hard working and industrious. Possessed of a genial deposition, he was a kind and affectionate father and lover of his little home and family. His untimely taking away has proved to be a severe blow to his relatives and friends where he was esteemed and respected by all. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon in the little Lake cemetery. The Rev. Baron officiated. Deceased leaves to mourn their loss his broken hearted wife and nine children namely; Edmond, Raymond, Eunice, Mirza, Leonce, Altea, Bessie, Maurice and Mrs. Clinton (Elwin) Smiley, and one grandson.
