[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 28, 1874, Image 3 There are a number of cases of small pox in the vicinity of Dominique's landing. We learn that Mr. Edmond Bujol contracted the disease while on a visit to New Orleans, and imparted it to his wife, who died from its effects, since which time half a dozen persons in the neighborhood have been stricken with the disagreeable malady. The type is not particularly virulent, and we have heard of no death but that of Mrs. Bujol. Since writing the above we have been informed by a physician that all the cases are convalescent.
