The mortal remains of the late Clayton J. Burton, a former Donaldsonvillian who 
removed to San Francisco, Cal., a year or so age and died at that place in January 
last, arrived in Donaldsonville Wednesday and the following morning at 9 o'clock 
were interred in the Protestant cemetery beside those of Mr. Burton's sister, Mrs. 
M.J. Badeaux. The obsequies were conducted by the Rev. U.P. Bowden, pastor of the 
local Episcopal church. The remains were in the form of ashes, Mr. Burton's body 
having been cremated at San Francisco. Mrs. Burton has returned to Donaldsonville, 
accompanied by her children, and will take up residence here.
