Blanchard. - News of the death of Mrs. P. L. Blanchard of Ascension parish reached New Orleans yesterday evening. Mrs. Blanchard was Miss Marie Estelle Ferrier of this city. She married Mr. Blanchard fifteen years ago. She leaves two boys, Ferrier, thirteen years of age, and Pierre, nine years old. Her husband survives her. Mrs. Blanchard has been in ill-health for nearly a year and a half. This summer she was taken to the mountains in Tennessee to recuperate, but she had to be brought to her country home near Donaldsonville. The deceased was the grand-daughter of Dr. Auguste Ferrier, and a daughter of Auguste Ferrier and Odille de Lesseps. She leaves one brother, Mr. George Ferrier, cashier of the Union National Bank, and one sister, Miss Jeanne Ferrier, who resided with her. The interment will take place this afternoon in the Blanchard family tomb in Ascension Cemetery. Prior to her marriage deceased was very popular in New Orleans society, and since she made her home in Ascension parish she kept up her old friendships here. There are many who will learn of her deaths with sorrow.
